ABOUT STACEY
I was introduced to Buddhism while attending a religious philosophy course in college in the mid 80's.
During the course I learned about many worldly religions, and Buddhism interested me most. I wanted to learn more, in fact I wanted to know everything. I hadn't been raised religiously and had no understanding beyond the Judeo/Christianity of the western culture I grew up with in New York.

ABOUT STACEY
I was introduced to Buddhism while attending a religious philosophy course in college in the mid 80's.
During the course I learned the tenets of the different worldly religions and became curious about Buddhism. I wanted to learn more, in fact I wanted to know everything. I hadn't been raised religiously and had no understanding beyond the Judeo-Christianity of the western culture I grew up with in New York.
I have now been meditating and studying Buddhism for over 25 years, under some of the most prominent Buddhist scholars and Meditation Masters like Bhikhu Bodhi, Bhante Gunarantana (Bhante G) and Sayadaw U Tejaniya to name a few. I've been in both the Ch'an (Zen) and Theravada tradition and have traveled and lived in Myanmar and Sri Lanka to further my understanding and knowledge of the teachings and practice. I began leading guided meditation and sharing the Dhamma since 2018 and started leading retreats in person and on line since 2021.
I am an extremely dedicated Buddhist practitioner, and feel so fortunate to be able to share what I've spent decades learning with others; whether I'm traveling on the road, living in nature or connecting with people close to home.
Religious holidays was simply a time to gather, give gifts and eat lots of food. Yet I felt spiritual and even had some spiritual awakenings in my late teens that left me wanting to understand more. Familiarizing myself with Buddhism was a long and often bumpy road, but ultimately it was the simple teaching, known as the Dhamma, that grabbed my interest the most. Like a well arranged map that led to a buried treasure, Buddha had left a map toward Nibbana or enlightenment.
After a great deal of searching, studying and most importantly practicing, I finally have a solid grasp on the practice of Buddhism. Now I would like to share with others what took me decades to figure out on my own.
